Johnnys Girl is neglected
Your looking at the sign of quality
Thomas writes about the Your/You’re confusion on this quality sign:
I was wavering between sending this to you guys or to failblog.org, but I figured it’s more a terrible abuse of apostrophes (and a wonderful example of irony) than a strict FAIL. I saw this in my hometown on the way into work on Monday morning.
It looks like rather than obscuring the lower-right leg of the X to make the Y in QUALITY, they should have broken it off to make an apostrophe for YOU’RE. Perhaps they were also out of the letter E.
Port Of’ Call (?)
Our Name’s are Lucy and Pedro
William writes:
I took this apostrophe photo at The Girls Strawberry U-pick in Boynton Beach, Florida, which also happened to have a fine lowercase L:

Fish Taco’s & Burger’s
Spotted this at Anthony’s Homeport in Ballard:
Banana’s Foster
Seen at Coho Cafe in Issaquah, WA:
Also noted is the “Jack ‘N Cider”, which I suppose could be correct if they meant to convey “Jack [Daniels] [i]n Cider”… 🙂
Souvenir’s Tee Shirts
…lot’s and lot’s of dirt
Emily saw this
…kids’ t-shirt which reads “I eat dirt, lot’s and lot’s of dirt.” This kind of thing is child abuse.
