Ocean Front Villa’s

I am visiting the tiny island of Barbuda (part of Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean) and found this lovely bit of abuse. I really want to know what the villa owns! There is also a place called “Extra Mans Bar” but I haven’t gotten a picture of that one just yet.

Drink’s, Menu’s, and Tip’s

The other day my husband and I went to a restaurant and had the worst service ever, though we were the only customers in the restaurant. My irritation only got worse as we went to the cashier and saw these signs, all with incorrect apostrophe usage. Argghh!

They *could* get a pass on the Tips jar; sometimes a stem is just a stem. Based on the remaining abuses, however, I think not.

Food at it is best

Kay sent in this photo of the Towne Grill,

…a favorite diner spot. We always read the sign as “Town-EE Grill. Food At It Is Best.”

The odd thing is, this is its second location … and when they painted the new sign on the new location, they kept the abused apostrophe. Tradition!
