Errors are always guaranteed at this place.
I decided to finally talk to the manager about the signage errors the other week and I pointed out this one as an example.
Her answer…. (you really wont believe this)
“We always put a comma with an ‘s’ ”
Arrrrggghhhhh. I thought she was joking, but alas not!

Whiteley’s is a family run local garden centre, but I always make sure I have my camera ready when I go as I am garunteed to find a sign or two with mis-used apostrophes or dreadful spelling and grammar.

This is a sign-written shop front in London. I took this photo a few months ago. I could not believe it.

My friend showed me this leaflet. She’s planning her wedding and this is the info that was given to her.
I have a theory now. I think that people are more likely to include an apostrophe on plural words that end in a vowel like extra’s and pizza’s etc…

This was a promotional leaflet that came through the letterbox at home.
